Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SandGlass at sandglass.me ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

SandGlass is a customer relationship management (CRM) tool designed for independent online tutors. It helps you manage student information, schedule lessons, track payments, and organize your tutoring business. SandGlass is a tutor-facing tool — your students do not access the application.

Currency Conversion

SandGlass provides currency conversion features for tracking and informational purposes only. Exchange rates are approximate and sourced from third-party providers.

You acknowledge that:

• Exchange rates displayed are not real-time and may differ from actual bank rates
• Currency conversions are estimates and should not be used for official financial, tax, or accounting purposes
• We are not a financial institution and do not provide financial advice
• You are responsible for verifying amounts with your bank or payment provider for official records

Account Registration

To use SandGlass, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service
• Access other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into SandGlass, including student information, lesson records, and notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of data you enter
• Obtaining any necessary consent from individuals whose information you store
• Complying with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction

Privacy

Your use of SandGlass is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Subscription and Payment

Free Plan

The free plan allows you to manage up to 5 active students at no cost. Free accounts remain active as long as you use the Service periodically.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

• Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial months

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Service Availability

We strive to keep SandGlass available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Intellectual Property

SandGlass, including its design, features, and content (excluding your data), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of income or revenue
• Loss of data
• Business interruption
• Any damages resulting from reliance on information provided by the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will end
• Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Any outstanding subscription fees remain due

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Your continued use of SandGlass after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
